The first president of the Kingston Horticultural Society was the Baron de Longueil, who owned Wolfe Island…yes, that was a long time ago. The Daily News in 1856 reports that the first KHS horticultural show was held that summer, on July 2, at City Hall, with music from the officers of Her Majesty’s 9th Regiment Band. Request for Garden tools
If you have unused garden tools, clean and in good condition, consider bringing them to the May 9, 2019 meeting. The Plant Sale committee is thinking that we could have a table of gently used tools for sale.
