Welcome to Gardening Kingston!

Message from the President

There is nothing like gardening to give you mental and physical exercise. Mental activity is enhanced from the planning of the flower beds and the vegetable plots, but also, from learning about plants, soils, micro-organisms, watering, pests, weeds, seeds, and so much more. And then you can really test your memory with plant names… in Latin if you wanted!

The physical exercise can be light or intense, from weeding to moving plants, to creating new beds and rock gardens or ponds. Being outside, rain or shine, in muddy boots or under a sunhat, is such a great therapy for body and soul.

There is also nothing like a community of gardeners to share with. There is the sharing of tips, of seeds, of perennials, and of your time, to work together on projects at home or in the community.

Come join us and find out how you can Learn. Grow. Share. Even in pandemic times. Especially in pandemic times.
