Collins Bay Hort. Society Bus Tour

Linked here is a flyer giving details of the day which promises to be a most enjoyable experience. Please look over the information. We will be going on a coach bus from McCoy Services. It is air conditioned and equipped with a washroom. Please be prepared for walking and the weather. Also, if you have special dietary needs you will have to plan for this yourself.  

Also linked is a waiver form that everyone who wants to go on the bus tour must sign. This is a requirement of the Ontario Horticultural Association. Print this off and bring the signed copy, along with $75.00 cash.
If there are not enough people to go by July 3, the trip will be cancelled and all money fully refunded.

There will be no other refunds.

South Frontenac 2nd Annual Garden Tour – Sunday, July 7

Southern Frontenac Community Services is organizing its 2nd Annual Garden Tour in South Frontenac Sunday, July 7th 9:30a.m. – 3:00p.m. It is a Fund Raiser for Southern Frontenac Community Services [Seniors programme]. There is a free ‘take and go” lunch at the Grace Centre in Sydenham. They hope to add 4/5 more new stops to the 8 stops from last year. South Frontenac is geographically a large area and this 4 year plan means they are now going to be having gardens in the east side of South Frontenac to northern our border area. Southern Frontenac Community Services services seniors north of the 401.Tickets will be available [$10] in local establishments and the website

Water Garden Tour – Saturday, June 22

The Greater Ottawa Water Garden Horticultural Society (GOWGHS) will host the 11th annual Water Garden Tour (WGT), which will take place on Saturday, June 22. This year’s Tour features another 10 beautiful water gardens during the day, with an 11th site being showcased in the evening. 

Date: Saturday, June 22, 2019

Times: Day: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Evening: 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Cost: $20.00 per person; children 12 and under are free

Tickets/Tour booklets for this self-guided tour are available after May 15th or at Ritchie Feed and Seed stores (1390 Windmill Lane, 2079 Carp Road, Stittsville, and 5091 Ottawa Street, Richmond), Big Al’s Aquarium (1900 Innes Road), Artistic Landscape Design (2079 Bank Place), Peter Knippel Garden Centre (4590 Bank Street), Budd Gardens (2832 Innes Road), KB Backyard Depot (1770 Manotick Station Road, Greely), Beyond the House (144 Craig Street, Russell), Rideau Woodland Ramble (7210 Burritt’s Rapids Road, Kemptville area), and Nesbitts Greenhouse (147 Eardley Road, Aylmer QC). Each year, proceeds from the Water Garden Tour are directed towards a community project. Proceeds from previous years went towards the construction of water features at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Kanata, in the Healing Garden at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, and outside the Peter D. Clark Long Term Care Home.

Belleville & District Annual Garden Tour – Saturday, July 6

CFUW Belleville & District is holding its annual Garden Tour this year on Saturday, July 6th. Don’t miss this self-guided tour of eight beautiful gardens around the Bay of Quinte. Box lunch, beverage, and map included.  Raffle Table with great prizes. Rain or shine. Proceeds support scholarships for local high school graduates.
