Saturday May 23, 2026 from 10-2pm at the Bennett Barn, Memorial CentRE (Nelson St.), Kingston.

GK provides education, resources and networking opportunities grounded in the love of gardening, creative design, and sustainable environmental practices. GK members grow and share all kinds of plants to sell — native pollinators, vegetables, perennial and annual flowers, grasses, bulbs and occasionally trees and shrubs. The club also welcomes opportunities to harvest plants from local selling properties and estates to include in the sale to be enjoyed in new gardens. Join them for their 57th annual public plant sale, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bennett Barn, Memorial Centre, on Nelson Street.

This event is a fundraiser for our group, however it is also an opportunity to share our gardening enthusiasm and expertise with members of the public while offering plants at very attractive prices.

Plant Sale – procedures for members

Plants to bring

All members are encouraged to pot up plants from their gardens, about 10 days prior to the sale, to ensure that the plants look good for the sale.

Houseplants or plants started from seed are also welcome.

Please do not bring thugs or invasive plants. If you are unsure, please check this link:

https://www.ontarioinvasiveplants.ca/invasive-plants/species/

Bulbs can be dried and in bags or boxes.

PLEASE label each pot with the name of the plant, and colour of bloom if appropriate. Mini-blind pieces are very useful for this purpose, there will be some to give away at the May meeting.

Other gardening items

Consider adding: garden tools, garden decorations and planters, gardening books. Please clean and bring items that are slightly used and/or in good shape. If you can price ahead of the sale, that would be helpful.

On the day of the sale

Drop-off time: 8:00am-9:30am

Please take your plants directly to the appropriate section where pricing teams are ready to complete their tasks. If you are unsure, please ask.
