The Kingston Horticultural Society is affiliated with the Ontario Horticultural Association (Garden Ontario), which was formed in 1906. The Kingston Horticultural Society is subject to the Constitution of the OHA and the provisions of the Horticultural Societies act, R.S.O. 1980, c.204. This organization gives guidance and support to all it’s members.

There are 19 Districts in the province supporting 278 societies. Gardening Kingston is one of 15 societies that are part of District 3 (follow link to see full list of District 3 societies and their web pages). District 3 hosted the OHA Annual Convention in Kingston in July 2018 under the theme “Shore to Shield”.
