During his talk, Anthony will discuss the origin of wattle fences and how to construct one. He will include details on the materials and construction method as well as examples of different styles of fences that he has built over the last decade.
Anthony’s work was featured in an article in The Kingston Whig Standard:
Bio: Anthony Thomson has been a resident of Kingston for the last 33 years. He was originally a west coast native who has had a life-long love of golf and the outdoors. Over the past decade he has come to enjoy building rustic wattle fences along the border between the Cataraqui Conservation Area and Cataraqui Golf and Country Club. He has had the opportunity to perfect his method having constructed more than 2000 yards of fencing. He enjoys building fences for neighbours and has been contracted to build several in the Kingston area. Anthony has recently retired from a family business and is pursuing some new interests. He currently lives in Kingston with his wife and daughter.
